Read MoreThe Center for Strategic Economic Studies and Institutional Development, Inc. (“the Center”) is a non-profit corporation and is operated exclusively for educational and charitable purposes within the meaning of Section 501 (c)(3) of the Internal Revenue Code.
Since 1998, the organization’s purpose has been to deliver charitable, educational, financial, and holistic solutions for low-to-moderate income small businesses. We listen to these communities’ voices, identify their needs, and collaborate with various local resources to make a lasting impact.
To be an organization where, through our programs, small business owners win by reaching their dreams; their communities win from the ripple effect; and we win by knowing that we made a positive impact to humanity.
At the Center, we believe that underserved small businesses need a good sounding board, education, and support from various resources. To meet that need, we blend our resources with other nonprofits, businesses, and government sponsored entities. Our mission is to help small businesses reach their dreams by listening to their needs, providing education and innovative solutions, and creating a vibrant business community based on collaboration and synergy.

Founded in 1998, the Center’s purpose is to make an impact to the underserved communities through empowering small business owners. We believe that by fostering the small businesses that we touch, we help create wealth, create a sense of abundance and gratitude, which in turn creates sustainable jobs within the community, and help reduce the power of poverty, the sense of lack, and fear.
Jocelyn C. Bramble, the owner of the Annapolis Times, Baltimore Times and Shore Times newspapers, originally founded the Center in Baltimore, Maryland. Today the non-profit has roots in Baltimore, Maryland and Orange County, California.
